Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Wins 2010 Border Wars Tasting Challenge
On May 1, 2010, Lipman Brothers hosted the first ever Border Wars Tasting Challenge at the Belle Meade Plantation Kentucky Derby Party. Participants were asked to blind taste three Kentucky bourbons and three Tennessee whiskies. Ratings were based on aroma, flavor, and finish. It turns out that Tennesseeans prefer good ole Tennessee whiskey. Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel was selected by the patrons as the best overall featured spirit. The results were as follows:
